JUNE

Thursday 6th
Kew Gardens

Explore the stunning gardens at Kew. It has the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world, a treetop walkway, cafes and
restaurants and much more. A trip not to be missed.

Thursday 13th
D’Eperlecques and St Omer

Le Blockhause is the biggest WW2 bunker in Northern France, surrounded by woodland it is a unique and very interesting place to visit. Steeped in history, it has the first V2 and V1 launch pad. After a morning visiting Le Blockhause spend the afternoon in the historic town of St Omer. Have some lunch at one of the many restaurants, meander around the shops or visit the magnificent Cathedral.

Ascot Ladies Day

A fantastic day out for all the ladies (and gents). It is the most glamorous racing event in the world, where the Royal
procession is at the start of the day’s racing. A truly memorable time to be had by all. Dress up, place your bets and
hope you come home a winner.

Brighton

There is so much to see and do in Brighton. Treat yourself to the i360, stroll along the pier, tour The Royal Pavilion or
meander through The Lanes. There is something for everyone in beautiful Brighton.

JULY

Thursday 11th
Rye Market & Tenterden

Visit the wonderful 150 year old traditional Rye market in the morning, selling everything from homewares to clothing.
In the afternoon we go into historic Tenterden. Here you can stroll along the quaint high street, visit the local museum
or just have some lunch.

Sunday 28th
Southend

There is plenty to see and do in Southend. Enjoy the world’s longest pier, Adventure Island and the Sea Life Aquarium.
For your retail therapy needs there are two main shopping centres at each end of the bustling high street. When you’re
feeling peckish have some lunch at one of the many restaurants, cafes or a cosy pub. A great day out for all the family.

Tuesday 30th
Polhill Garden Centre

Polhill is so much more than a garden centre, it is a family day out. There is something for everyone at the fantastic
shopping village. With plants, garden furniture, clothing and much more, it will fulfill all your gardening needs.
Younger visitors can try out the brand new children’s play area featuring all-weather surfaces with slides, climbing frames,
go karts, boats and crazy golf. When you need to take a rest visit the award winning food hall, whether it’s a main meal
or afternoon tea you’re after Novell’s has it all. A great family day out.

AUGUST 

Saturday 10th
Bruges

First stop P & J’s chocolate factory for some delicious handmade chocolates then onto wonderful Bruges. With beautiful shops,
lovely restaurants and amazing architecture it has something for everyone. A great day out.

Sunday 18th
Ypres

In the morning visit the cemeteries for the fallen of World War 1. In the afternoon spend leisure time in the wonderful town of Ypres,
where you can meander around the shops or have some lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants. At 8pm reflect at the beautiful
Menin Gate memorial for the haunting ‘Last Post’.
Trip includes a tour guide.

Sunday 25th
Military Odyssey-Kent Showground

Journey through 2000 years of history. From Roman times up to the present day including Viking, Medieval, American civil war
and two world wars. The show has over 4000 re-enactors, 200 vehicles and over 250 stalls. With numerous food courts including
a beer tent and indoor seating, it is a great day out for all the family.
Price includes entry.
£25.50 per adult, £23 senior citizen, £19.50 child under sixteen.

Camden Market

Have a meander around London’s largest market. With its unique shops, stalls, bars and restaurants it has something for everyone.
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle take a relaxing stroll along the Regent’s canal.

SALUTE TO THE 40’S AT CHATHAM HISTORIC DOCKYARD

Come with us for a fantastic day out celebrating the 40’s. From the wonderful clothes and hairstyles to the music and dancing.
Marvel at the vehicles from a bygone age and enjoy the atmosphere from that era. It is one of Britain’s best vintage festivals.
